Don't see Roy retiring before k-rat. K-rat 68 years old, Roy is 64 years old. Just rumors , but heard k-rat has 3 seasons left before he retires. Reason he getting one and done players. Just rumor no fact. Brad Stevens will be Indiana s next coach. The coaches you named for dook ,I think only 2 choices, johhny Dawkins or Tommy. Mike brey would have been #1 choice But think he"s set and is to old to start over. Jared hasse would be my first choice for in family coach. Great recruiter last season with unc as asst. Coach was 2012 went down hill from there. Has did good job with UAB for players he had. But Sean Miller stays at Arizona or may take a unc or dook job. Always thought Mark few Maybe a choice for unc, because him and Roy are hide friends and he can coach good and could recruit higher rated players at unc . But who knows

I predict that the next coach at Carolina will be Jeff Lebo. He is paying his dues as the head coach at ECU and he is the most qualified guy from inside the family.
Keeping to my theme of keeping it inside and finding someone that has head coaching experience. I predict Tommy Amaker is the next guy at Duke.
I simply do not believe that either school will turn in over to an assistant that has no head coaching experience.
If the heels went outside, I would want it to be Brad Stevens or Tony Bennett, but I doubt Tony will ever be available. Hope it is not Manning, because he believes in that run as fast as you can style and play no defense just like Roy.

Fans of Notre Dame basketball have no idea for the most part how good of a coach they have. Most have wanted him fired for years.
He's a good one, but I don't think he'll be at Duke because of his age. He will be 60 by the time Duke hires their next coach.

We have a lot of fun poking fun here but lets try to be serious and stay on topic here with this thread. Both coaches are fast approaching 70 years of age and sometime in the next 2-10 years will be hiring new coaches.
Who will it be in your opinion for each school. Lets keep it civil, please?
I'll go first since its my topic:..
UNC
I don't see anyone in the current UNC family unless someone is slipping my mind ready to take over. I think UNC will hire within 5 years. Roy will retire before K at Duke.
I think if Danny Manning gets it done at WFU that he could very well move east to Chapel Hill.
I think Brad Stevens will come back to college soon, maybe 3 more seasons in Boston.
Could UNC be Shaka Smarts first big gig?
Bobby or Danny Hurley? Something like that has happened before and Bobby wanted to go to UNC.
Sean Miller?
When it boils down to it I'll say 1st choice is Stevens and 2nd choice is Sean Miller.
Duke
As mentioned earlier K will last longer than Williams, K will coach at least 5-6 more seasons.
The Duke tree was empty not long ago but now its certainly not full but there are plenty to chose from.
I do have some Duke contacts, so some of this is fact, not guesswork.
It will not be Johnny Dawkins, that's for sure.
Chris Collins
Steve Wojociejowski
Jeff Capel
Brad Stevens, I think this is a longshot because as mentioned earlier I think he ends up down the road.
Sean Miller
Bobby and Danny Hurley
Shane Battier, long shot because he isn't in coaching as of today
When it comes down to it I'll predict this order
1) Chris Collins
2) Jeff Capel, he's flying up the ladder
3) Bobby Hurley
4) Steve Wojociejowski
