You can not see it, you can not touch it, and it can not be stopped. Each soul it claims only makes it stronger. It will feed off of your fear making it unstoppable. It lurks in the shadows and rises during the fall of night. It invades the sanctity of your dreams and transforms them into living nightmares. It will consume you and it will kill you.

Because I believe this they put me in the asylum. Every night I fight to survive but they don't believe me, that's why I decided to write this journal. My name is Samantha Byers. I'm only fourteen years old and I am the only survivor of the Shadowspell.
